Spectrum Digital Radios – John Lewis
Spectrum Digital Radios from John Lewis are great to shoot. They come in a number of great colours and the packs have to represent the colour of the radio within. So we shoot the pure white radio samples as a template for them all. The shots are then coloured up on the packs to match that of the radio. The whole box becomes that colour with the image emerging from it. So it becomes an exercise of monochromatic tonal play to pull out all the edges and key elements of the design such as the buttons and displays. The rest of the shot effectively then has no tone at all so that the colour treatments can come through.
