January, and a rare quiet week brought an even more rare opportunity to work on some personal projects. Flowers. Might have been done before but I wanted to shoot some simple but beautiful images using the magic that is soft natural window light. Keeping the the compositions clean and without fuss I made a point of not trying to be too clever. That way it is all about the beauty of the subject and the light. Shooting black and white concentrates the mind on lines and textures. Simple black frames with wide off-white mounts and essential reflection-free glass, the images are exhibited locally initially. They are well received. See the ‘Gallery’ tab for the full range.
