My Flash, John Lewis Pans

More for John Lewis Own Brand packaging. Shot for their ‘Design Project’ Cookshop range we lit these pans to get beautifully smooth and silky tones to reflect their build quality. Design Project is their premium range of products so the images have to ooze quality.

Eau De Parfum

Shot for Aromatherapy Associates, they wanted their EDP to be set amongst the ingredients that feature in the scent. The floral environment was created by a specialist florist. We took what she created and worked with the individual stems to position them to that they featured but didn’t take over from the bottle as it nestled in it’s busy environment. Drop focus and focal point play a crucial part in the success of this shot, along with beautiful soft flattering lighting.

CUBE Execs

Updating the shots of the executive team for CUBE since we last shot them a couple of years back. They wanted some nice head shots but also asked for some more animated shots of the team. They were very good with a little help from each other. Shooting on a Friday evening before they headed out to dinner also helped loosen things up a bit and get some natural expressions. Thanks to Kyan Design for commissioning these images.

John Lewis Croft Glassware

More Croft homeware for John Lewis. This is their classic timeless lifestyle range. Glassware is always a challenge but this presented particular challenges due to the fact that the subtle ribbing needed to be an obvious key feature of the glass. In addition the green of the background needs to be ‘brushed’ through the clear glass to appear realistically. With only a limited colour pallet in the paper backdrop ranges we need to shoot on a neutral off-white backdrop and introduce the colour in post production. A good example of how lighting in camera and retouching needs to work hand in hand to achieve the required result. Retouching by Mike at Rabbit Retouching

John Lewis Never Knowingly Undersold

John Lewis still proudly maintains their Never Knowingly Undersold status. This in-store poster and web campaign was commissioned to reignite awareness of this position. Here a selection of the products chosen for the shoot. Retouching by Mike at Rabbit Retouching
