This is a great example of why its central to recce a location before you shoot. This shot was actually captured on our recce day, as the British weather failed us on the actual shoot day. Also got some great dramatic internal shots of their vast manufacturing and warehousing facility.
Very happy to be asked back by Palagan to extend their photography portfolio. This shot formed part of the previous shoot brief, and we are looking to include more of a human element in their story.
Commissioned by Atticus Creative to shoot at Floplast guttering manufacturing. These are the most impressive warehouse racking systems I’ve ever shot, and I’ve seen a few. Towering over ten metres above the ground we shot from one of the forklifts that take the forks along with the operator (and me!) to those heights. Each forklift valued at around £100k, this is an impressive company and needed shots to demonstrate this. Good job I don’t suffer from vertigo! Great as always to work with Sean, creative director at Atticus.
Shooting at the Floplast facility. They have injection moulding machines that seem to defy physics in their ability to mould incredibly complex pipe systems and junction sections for domestic and commercial drainage solutions. Great opportunities for graphic patterns in an otherwise visually complex environment. I love the challenges presented by industrial commissions. Great art direction from Sean, Atticus Creative
Palagan are a new client. They manufacture high grade polythene films to be used for packaging and plastic bags. They required a series of clean and graphic images to enhance their new web site design. The factory location was a challenging one, very (visually) busy, hot and noisy. Also with no natural light, and strict restrictions on my ability to use my lighting, it was a challenge to get the clean and engaging images that we did achieved. Keeping the shots tight helped, and with some great art direction from their web designer, Louise, we had a long but very productive day.
